Cranes to expand operations in city

Hyderabad : Bangalore based Cranes Software International Ltd. opened its sales and marketing office as well as started Cranes Varsity in the city with an investment of around Rs. 60 lakh.

Spread over an area of 1,200 sq.ft, this the company's first resource centre outside Bangalore. "We are also planning to expand through franchisee route but that would be around our resources centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad" chief executive officer of CSIL. Asif Khader told to reporters here on Wednesday.

CSIL is a total solution provider in the scientific software domains offers products, solutions and training in the scientific and engineering field. The company recorded a turnover of Rs. 24 crore in the last financial year and is targeting a turnover of Rs. 40 crore in the current financial year.

"We are targeting the global market. Though the aviation sector has opened up but still the market abroad is immense. About 60 per cent of our turnover last year came from the foreign market," Khader said.

Cranes Varsity would offer courses in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and mathametical modeling and simulation. The fees would be in the range of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000 depending on the course and there would be around 10 students per batch," Khader said.
